Dale Walker
A great image of the detail on a 1958 Impala. The trim, along with the new emblem with an Impala (like a gazelle, or a deer) with crossed flags indicates this is an Impala option on a 1958 BelAir. The Impala had a lower windshield, the height of a convertible and was a 'hardtop', while there was also a BelAir 2-Dr 'sedan' (with window post). The Impala option also included unique side trim and 6 taillights instead of the 4 taillights for the BelAire and Biscayne models. The Impala became it's own model in 1959, and was no longer a part of the BelAir option packages. Dale Walker, founder National Impala Association, dedicated to the marque of 1958-1964 Chevrolet 'X-Body" classics.
